THERMAL BATHS

Location: Located 15 minutes away (from CASA DE LUZ Hotel)

Attention: Monday to Sunday 5:00 a.m. – 8:00 pm.

To the waters of the thermal baths they attribute thermo medicinal healing properties. The visit is recommended for its regulatory properties of metabolism and hypertension, elimination of toxins or simply for relaxation in a peaceful environment.

Exhibits the history and life of the district, models of Machupicchu, photos and customs.

HANDCRAFTED MARKET

Location: Train Station Departure

Attention: Monday to Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 pm.

The artisan market has an adequate infrastructure to provide visitors with comfort and security so that they can make their purchases of local crafts at comfortable prices in soles or in foreign currency, being direct producers. It has 208 points of sale, fluid pedestrian access, hygienic services and direct connection with tourist establishments.

MUSEUM OF SITE AND BOTANICAL GARDEN:

Location: 25 minutes from the town of Machupicchu walking.

Attention: Monday to Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The Manuel Chavez Ballon site museum and the botanical garden are located at the foot of the Inca city. It displays maps, goldsmith’s pieces and ceramics found in the different sites of the Machu Picchu Sanctuary.

FLORA AND FAUNA RESEARCH CENTER, GREEN POINT PERU

Location: 20 minutes from the town of Machupicchu walking (KM 112)

Attention: Monday to Sunday 6:30 a.m. – 4:30 pm.

Orchid, flora and fauna observation in general; observation of medicinal plants and birds.

BUTTERFLY INTERPRETATION CENTER

Location: 20 minutes from the town of Machupicchu walking (KM 112)

Attention: Monday to Sunday 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 pm.

Interpretation and observation activities of butterflies.

GARDENS OF MANDOR

Location: 60 minutes from the town of Machupicchu walking (KM 114)

Attention: Monday to Sunday 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 pm.

Place where you can visit the waterfalls of Mandor and know the Botanical Garden.

PUTUCUSI VIEWPOINT

Location: 5 minutes from the town of Machupicchu walking.

Attention: Monday to Sunday (Recommended to descend before 4:00 p.m.)

Called Montaña Alegre, from the top you can see a magnificent panoramic view of the Machu Picchu Sanctuary and the Vilcanota river canyon. The ascent lasts approximately 3 hours, which is done on a road covered with dense vegetation.

ALTOMAYO CATARATS

Attention: Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Natural and beautiful waterfall walking from the end of the “Torrechayoc” street within the Pueblo of Machupicchu. A 20-minute walk that is worth climbing bleachers and appreciating the nature that surrounds the greenish area.
